i am financially trapped yet i would like to plan a trip for my seven yrs olds birthday is there anything you can suggest to mke the trip as cheap as possible yet fun and entertaingin for my 7yr old

    Hello Lakesha,

Dreams can come true, no matter what the budget. It's the beauty of Disney World. And I'm certain your soon-to-be seven-year-old will truly enjoy every minute of your vacation!

First, make sure to pick up a complimentary celebration button at Guest Services when you arrive. By wearing a birthday button, you never know what kind of Pixie Dust a Cast Member may be able to share. It might be a small dessert or stickers, or something else. But the experience is sure to make your child smile.

One of my family's most favorite things to do is to take photos with each of the characters and then grab their autographs. This will cost you the price of the autograph book. Your child will love it, and you both will have memories you'll take home that will last forever.

When my family finds we have some free time on our hands, we like to ride the Monorail or the ferry boats just to take in the sights and sounds of Disney. It's time off of our feet and money we're not spending!

We also make sure we leave time for all of the parades and firework shows at each of the Theme Parks. They're all part of your Park admission and so lively and magical! Or check out the Electrical Water Pageant. My daughter will bring a snack to the beach along the Polynesian Resort and watch the "parade" float by. All of this for the cost of your snack.

Those are just a few suggestions. I hope they help! Happy birthday to your little one!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
