Finally going on our Honeymoon on DCL and we’re thinking about stopping at the Ganachery in Disney Springs for some Chocolates to bring with us for our stateroom. Does the Ganachery have a way of sealing it so we can take it onboard the ship?

Congratulations, Trinity, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you've chosen a Disney Cruise for your honeymoon. You must be a fellow kindred spirit because I happen to always make it a point to pick up what I like to call consumable souvenirs to extend the magic beyond my trip. The Ganachery is one of my regular go-tos. Let's talk about your options for taking some yummy treats on board.

You've clearly done your research because you are correct that any food brought on board a Disney Cruise must be unopened and in original factory-sealed packaging. While the individual little chocolate ganache pieces in the gorgeous case at The Ganachery don't fit the guidelines of what's allowed, I believe you'll be able to find things in the store that do. I've seen sealed chocolate candy bars in there and sealed bags of other chocolate candies. Of course, you'll need to check what's in stock when you visit, but I feel good about your chances to find something you can take on board. The staff there are lovely, and I'm sure they'll have some suggestions for you as well.

If that doesn't work out, I have an idea for you. Another one of my go-tos is Wondermade marshmallows, also at Disney Springs. I'm not talking about the mass-produced puffed balls sold in grocery stores. They are small batch artisan candy makers, and their marshmallows come factory sealed in boxes. They have so many different flavors, and I love to bring them on board to put in my hot chocolate at night while watching a movie on Funnel Vision. My favorite is salted caramel, but I also usually pick up a box of churro flavored ones, too.

I'm not sure which ship you're sailing on, but many of them have treat shops on board with chocolate bonbons and truffles for sale. If you aren't able to find something ahead of time to bring on board, you may find chocolates to indulge in once you get there. You can even order some ahead of time to have in your room through Onboard Gifts. Of course, I say get some beforehand and on board, too. It's your honeymoon, after all.

Trinity, I hope you have a fantastic honeymoon cruise and that you find some treats you can take on board with you. If you have any other questions, please bring them back to planDisney, and we'll be happy to answer them for you.

Have a magical trip and cruise!
