We are finally getting married, after 23 years together, at the Grand Floridian in a Grand Villa on 17th of December. Is there special Magic Bands or merchandise for wedding couples we can get?

Welcome to planDisney, James! Congratulations on not only your soon-to-be wedding but on 23 years together! You have so much to celebrate, and I am so excited you will be doing so together at Walt Disney World Resort.

The top choice for wedding merchandise, time and time again, is the super cute Wedding Ears. Look at this sophisticated and formal Mickey Mouse Groom Ear Hat.  I also like the clean look of the Groom T-Shirt.  You can find other styles and additional merchandise at shopDisney by searching with the terms "wedding," "bride," or "groom." I would suggest ordering these items ahead of time, so you are ready to go when you arrive. Just remember - the ears are a MUST!

Special wedding MagicBands are available through Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons. If you aren't going that route, you could order MagicBands in plain white or in a color that matches your wedding colors and personalize them. I think this is the most romantic and memorable route. MagicBands can be decorated with nail polish, temporary tattoos, stickers, decorative tape such as duct or craft tape, paint pens, or stick-on gems. Let your creativity flow! Be sure to seal your designs with clear nail polish to preserve all your hard work. You can also purchase MagicBand decals online from Esty and other online retailers that also look great. I am aware there are some wedding MagicBands available from resellers out there on the internet, as they were once available at the Theme Parks but have been since discontinued. Please use caution if you do go in this direction. Once a MagicBand is linked to someone through their My Disney Experience account, they can not be transferred to another person.

Be sure to stop at your hotel's front desk when you arrive to let them know how special your trip is and ask for your complimentary celebration buttons. It is such a fun way to let other Guests and Cast Members know you were just married, and they would love to celebrate with you and offer their congratulations!

    Have a magical day, James!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
