I finally got my DH to commit to a date to visit WDW, but it's for January, 2011. We plan on going all out for this first family vaca to WDW. Is it too soon to start planning? I'm afraid that everything I'm reading will change by then. Will it? Thanks!

It’s never too early to start planning! Here at the Moms Panel we are all obsessive about planning our trips, especially to Walt Disney World.

Yes things will change. That’s why we keep going back to WDW. There will be new attractions and entertainment. I guarantee prices for meals, souvenirs, tickets and hotels will change.

However, I wouldn’t hesitate to start planning as the preparation is part of the journey.

For now, you can begin narrowing down your resort choices. Study what attractions your family will consider Must See rides and shows. You can start looking at restaurants, although menu items may change, you can still get an idea of where you’d like to dine. Order the free WDW Vacation Planning DVD. Keep visiting us here at the WDW Moms Panel. Note changes to attractions, restaurants and entertainment and you’ll be well prepared.

You should have a fantastic game plan for your first family vacation to WDW.
