Hi Rose! Thanks for bringing such a great question to planDisney! Character Dining is one of my favorite things when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! And, of course, I have a few favorite Character Dining locations to recommend - some with Mickey and others with just his pals!
Some characters are available at Character Dining locations for all meal periods, while some are available only during specific meal periods. For example, two great places to see and meet Mickey are
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort!
Chef Mickey’s welcomes Guests for breakfast and dinner. Mickey and his pals meet and greet Guests during both meal periods. I recommend breakfast at Chef Mickey’s! It is a great way to get your “fuel” for a Disney day!
Topolino’s Terrace also serves breakfast and dinner, but Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy only meet and greet Guests during breakfast. Dinner is not Character Dining at this location. The costumes worn by the characters at Topolino’s Terrace are very cool. The breakfast is delicious, and the view from this restaurant is stunning!
Mickey can also be found at
Hollywood and Vine (Disney’s Hollywood Studios) during lunch and dinner and at
Tusker House Restaurant (Disney’s Animal Kingdom) during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Rose, you can check the dining page for all Character Dining locations to see when characters are available! The webpage will note if characters are present for all meal periods or just select meal periods. Some other top Character Dining locations are 1900 Park Fare (Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa), Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom Park), Cape May Café (Disney’s Beach Club Resort), Story Book Dining at Artist Point (Disney’s Wilderness Lodge), and The Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom Park).
Please note that character appearances are subject to change at Character Dining locations.
Have a great visit, Rose! Enjoy the Character Dining with Mickey and his pals!
Dreams do come true!
