Is there a way to figure out whether to use 2 table service credits or just pay out of pocket. Some 2 ts credit restaurants include gratuity and some don't. Just trying to get best use of credits. Thanks for your insight in this matter.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jacalyn! It's great to see you.

Are you a numbers girl? If you enjoy doing a little math then it is possible to figure out whether or not it makes sense to use two table service entitlements from your Disney Dining Plan instead of paying out-of-pocket for a signature dining experience at Walt Disney World Resort.

In order to get the most value out of your Disney Dining Plan, it's important to keep in mind that you want to use up every last entitlement associated with your plan by midnight on the day you check out of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Thus, what we're really figuring out here is where, among the restaurants you plan to experience, it is most cost effective to use your entitlements. So, here's what you need to do:

    • Pull up the menu for each restaurant where you plan to dine. (Just click on "view menu" when a restaurant's page appears.)
    • Add up the cost of what you would order if you paid out-of-pocket.
    • Compare the price of a meal at a signature dining experience with the price of two table service restaurants that only require one entitlement from the Disney Dining Plan. If the price of dining at two single-entitlement restaurants exceeds the price of the signature dining experience, you should probably pay out-of-pocket for the signature dining experience and use your credits for the two single-entitlement restaurants.
    • Of course, if you have enough entitlements from your Disney Dining Plan to cover all of your meals, then don't pay out-of-pocket for any of them.
    • Don't forget to make advance dining reservations by calling (407) 939-3463.

    Good luck with your planning!

    Bon appétit,
    Jill
