Fighting with stroller issue. Do we buy one and have it sent directly to hotel (Same price as renting one for the week) or rent. What happens with strollers on transportation to and from the hotel will it be a major issue? What do the Stroller look lik

    Hi there, Stormi!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  Whether you’ve been planning this trip for a while or you just booked it, you have so much to look forward to and I am so excited for you!

In my opinion, strollers are a complete necessity for those long days at the theme parks.  No matter how independent my boys want to be, they still get tired sooner than they (or I) would like them to, so having a place for them to rest their legs is such a help!  Plus, if you find yourself in a rush to get to an advanced dining reservation or FastPass+ queue, then they definitely come in handy!  The strollers available to rent at the theme parks are made of molded plastic with a sunshade, a storage pocket on the back and cupholders.  While I cannot show you a picture of one, if you do a quick search online, I know many photos will pop up for you to see.  One thing to know about renting strollers is that they are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved ahead of time.  Additionally, they cannot be removed from the theme park you rented it at, so if you plan on using a Park Hopper admission ticket, you will need to pick up a new stroller when you enter a new theme park.  If you opt to utilize your own stroller, be mindful that it adheres to the stroller size requirement and cannot be larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long.  When using the complimentary boat or bus transportation, you will be asked to collapse it completely.  If using the monorail, it can remain open and in use as you can easily stroll right on!  Please note that if you do have a delivery made to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, there is a delivery fee that will be charged if you opt to have Bell Services deliver it to your room.

I always preferred to have my own stroller when my boys were younger because I knew it would come in handy outside the theme parks, but now that they are older we opt to rent a stroller because we do not need it outside the theme parks!  So, depending on the age of your Mouseketeer, you may want to take that into consideration, too!

I hope this helps guide you in making the best decision for your upcoming vacation!  It will be here before you know it!

Have a magical and memorable vacation,
    Stephanie
