Hi this is our fifth visit with the kids to disney. We are staying at the Polynesian in July but I saw that animal lodge has features like you get to see the animals at night with night goggles. Is this only if your staying there ? Any suggestions.

    Hi Eileen,

Aloha, or should I say Jambo! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. My son's favorite resort is the Polynesian. I know you're going to have a wonderful time there. I love the view of the castle from the beach, particularly if you can score a hammock!

Fortunately, you do not have to be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to take advantage of viewing animals on the savannas. You might want to try one of the fabulous restaurants, Boma or Jiko then spend some time exploring the resort. If you ask in the lobby when you arrive, they should be able to direct you to where the night viewing is taking place.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
