Hi Laurissa,
As a high school teacher, I can't thank you enough for leaving time in your team's schedule for them to prepare properly for their upcoming exams. You get a gold star from me!
Here are a few options:
1. If you only have an isolated hour or two, the girls probably don't have time to take their study session away from your resort. I have stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort with school groups and there are no public areas that lend themselves to quiet study. However, if the students study wearing headphones, as many teens do these days, a corner nook at the
Everything Pop Shopping & Dining food court during non-traditional meal times could work nicely. Also, guest rooms are often quiet mid-day while many people are at the theme parks. The tables in the newly renovated guest rooms at your resort would be a great place to hit the books.
2. If you feel your resort is too busy during Disney Showcase for fruitful study, take the girls over to the
Landscape of Flavors food court at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. It is a short walk across the Generation Gap Bridge from your hotel. Their food court is arranged in several separate areas that are a bit more isolated.
3. If you have a considerable amount of time for study, I suggest you take the girls to my favorite quiet spot in all of Walt Disney World. The Carolwood Pacific Room off the lobby of Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is perfect for hours of productive study. There are tables there, a roaring fire, and blissful silence. The girls can even grab a snack at Roaring Fork when they need a break.
Good luck to your team. May they be victors on the field and in the classroom!
Best wishes,
Jill
