Hello! My fiancee and I are planning our 1st ever WDW visit for our Honeymoon in Jan. 2019! Which days of the week would you suggest? We were planning on 5 park days...Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday? Is 5 days enough for 1st time visitors

It's wonderful when first-time Guests bring questions to Disney Parks Moms Panel, and especially fun when their first Walt Disney World vacation is a special event like a honeymoon. A Walt Disney World experience is many things: fun, exciting, adventurous, magical, and — for me — among the most romantic settings imaginable for celebrating happiness and love.

When first-time Guests planning their stay ask me "how many days?" I always encourage a 7-10 day stay, especially if it's likely to be the only Walt Disney World visit for a long period of time. I frequently say there is so much to see and do and enjoy both inside the 4 theme parks and all around Walt Disney World that you can easily spend a week taking it all in, and spending 2 days in each park is easy to do. Add in a day or 2 of relaxation just chilling out at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel pool or a day of shopping, dining, and entertainment at Disney Springs and you have an easy 10 days.

I think if you can extend your stay beyond 5 days, you will certainly have plenty to enjoy. If you only do a 5-day stay, then I, personally, would give the Monday through Friday stay a strong consideration. The good news, in my opinion, is that you are already planning one of the more optimal times to visit at the end of January.

Rachel, I hope you bring us all the questions you have as you plan your magical honeymoon.

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
