My fiance & I will be spending our honeymoon with a land and sea package. We want to schedule a dinner at palo, but I want to make sure we wont miss the fireworks. Do you know what time the fireworks are for summon the force &pirates night?

    Hi Courtney!

Congratulations to you and your fiancé on your Leap Year wedding plans that include a land and sea honeymoon! Newlyweds on the high seas? Mickey and Minnie will be thrilled! I hope you’ve noted this special occasion on your reservation because Disney Cruise Line will want to sprinkle you with lots of pixie dust on your voyage!

You won’t regret making reservations for Palo! What could be more romantic than an Italian meal in a Venetian inspired restaurant overlooking the ocean? (Just ask Lady and the Tramp, they know!)

Getting the timing right on your Palo reservation is key here. You absolutely don’t want to miss the Pirate Night or Star Wars Day at Sea festivities! These shows are timed in such a way that they work for those participating in both the rotational dining seatings. Therefore, I would recommend booking a Palo reservation anywhere from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. because you will want to savor your meal and not rush it. A meal like that deserves around two hours (if not more).

While times are not published just yet, most of the shows and fireworks for Star Wars Day at Sea and Pirate Night are after the Second Seating. The only one you might miss is the Pirates in the Caribbean party, which is typically around 7:45 p.m. But there’s a second pirate party called Buccaneer Blast that starts around 10:30 p.m., followed by fireworks (weather permitting).

My collection of Personal Navigators from cruises past show that the Summon the Force deck party and Star Wars Fireworks at Sea started at 10:30 p.m. So you won’t need to use the Force in consuming your meal--take your time!

Entertainment is subject to change and can vary with each sailing, so be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the schedule of all the events on your cruise.

One advantage to having a Palo reservation is that Palo has a secluded outdoor patio and can give you that newlywed moment for watching fireworks! We have been in that same spot to watch them and while not as plugged into the party atmosphere, the ambiance there may prove to be just what you honeymooners would love.

Wishing you all the happiness as you embark on married life together and a FANTAStic cruise!

    Bon Voyage!
