My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for the beginning of May 2015 in WDW. We want to stay in a nice room in one of the resorts, but still have a budget and don't want to break the bank. Which resort would you recommend? Thank you!

    Hi Elle,

Congratulations on your soon-to-be marriage! My husband and I also honeymooned in Walt Disney World! Since that time we have visited numerous times and also added 4 children to our family and each visit continues to be just as precious as our first.

One of the many things I love about Walt Disney World is that there is a fabulous Resort hotel for every budget and occasion. For newlyweds and romantic couples wanting to watch their budget, my top recommendation is Port Orleans - French Quarter or Port Orleans - Riverside. The lush and manicured grounds at these sister resorts are incredibly romantic and are on par with many of the Deluxe Resort hotel grounds. There are immense trees draped with moss surrounding the walking paths next to the Sassagoula River. It's hard not to think you have been transported back to the deep South in a long ago era. If your budget allows, I highly recommend booking a preferred room that is closer to the main buildings where the food court and bus depot are located. In addition to the standard preferred rooms, there are also "Royal Guest Rooms" available which are regally decorated with details from Princess Tiana and her royal friends.

Elle when you make your vacation plans, please be sure to note that you are celebrating your honeymoon on your Resort hotel reservation as well as all of your Advanced Dining Reservations. I also recommend stopping by Guest Services or your Resort hotel Concierge and picking up a button that proclaims your celebration and wear them to the theme parks every day. Be prepared for all of the well wishes you will receive! And you never know, sometimes an extra sprinkling of Pixie Dust will fall on you.

Please let us know if you have any further questions - we are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
