Hi, my fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for this August. He hasn't been there in about 15 years and I havn't been in about 4 years. We are on a budget and were wondering what some fun suggestions were for romantic outings on a budget. Thanks!

    Hello fellow Nebraskan!

WDW is filled with romantic moments, especially in this year of celebrations.  First, make sure and get your free "Just Married" pins from Guest Services at the parks or your resort.  You may even want to splurge on Mickey Ears that are customized for brides/grooms to announce to everyone that you are newlyweds; you never know what surprises may come your way!  And here are some other budget-friendly ideas:
-watch Wishes from the beach at the Polynesian resort; the paths are torch-lit and there are hammocks on the beach --- soooo romantic!
-take a stroll on the Boardwalk to watch the entertainment and you could even take those funny photos in the little booth; you may even want to rent a bike
-watch a beach side movie at the Yacht/Beach Club
-take a carriage ride for 2 along the Sassagoula River which is only $35 (as of 6/09)
-consider dessert at the California Grill, one of the most elegant restaurants at WDW, where you can also watch Wishes
-rent Water Mice to "scamper" about the Seven Seas Lagoon
-for free souvenirs, send home silly movies/postcards from Mission Space, Innoventions, and Spaceship Earth at Epcot
-throughout Epcot, there are many opportunities to purchase/sample wines.  At France, you can purchase small bottles of champagne to celebrate elsewhere!
-at the Animal Kingdom, you can purchase  a picnic lunch where you can then slip away to many romantic, secluded places to dine; it also comes with a free bag!
-at Ft. Wilderness they have a nightly campfire, singalong, and movie

    Enjoy and congratulations!
