my fiancée and I are planning our first trip to WDW in March/2011 and we were wondering how much just a simple dinning plan cost? We are trying to figure out the cost for everything so we are sure we have enough money for it all

    Allison:

Although you have many choices of dining plans at Disney, I typically recommend the basic dining plan that includes one table service credit, one counter service credit and one snack per person per night of your stay.  The cost, come 2011, in addition to your resort room and park tickets (you have to buy both to qualify for the dining plan), is $45.99 per night per adult.

Be aware, though, that if you'll plan your March trip with a check-in date of March 1, 2, or 3rd, you'll qualify for free dining when you book by December 20. This is a special offer that could shave hundreds of dollars off your trip and is worth evaluating your dates, especially since room rates go from Value Season to Peak because of Spring Break that month.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
