So my fiance and I are interested in going to disney this year with our son who will be 1 1/2 years old. The in laws were supposed to come however they have other travel obligations, wondering has anyone ever gone family of 3 with an infant.

    Hi Brandi!

I'm sorry that your in-laws aren't able to come.  That would have been a fun trip for them and you!

However, I can say that I still think you will have a great time!  There is something very magical about trips to Walt Disney World when you aren't feeling the need to rush around and ride all the rides.  Your son will mostly just want to look around and explore all of the details that people often miss.

My husband and I took our first son at about the same age.  He was a little bit scared of the characters, but I still remember that trip and how magical it was.  I love looking back at pictures of him watching the parades.  He was mesmerized and so excited!  We planned a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom with him, and really just took it easy.  We did make advance dining reservations, but other than that we did whatever he wanted!

We stayed on property, so we usually hit the parks in the morning and then went back to the room for an afternoon nap.  We would go back to the parks in the evening.  The lights were really exciting to him!

I think it will be a great trip!  I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any other questions.
