Mom And Daughter Resort Room

    My fiance & I will be going to DWto celebrate his birthday in a few weeks. I am having a difficult time choosing between Caribbean Beach Resort and Animal Kingdom Lodge. I am torn between the beachy atmosphere vs the savannah atmosphere. Help please

    Both of these resorts have a lot of wonderful amenities to offer WDW guests.

    Let me help sort it all out.

    Caribbean Beach Resort:
    -moderately priced hotel
    -double beds
    -must walk outdoors to reach Old Port Royale's food court
    -brand new pool area
    -tropical oasis with romantic walkways - day and night

    Animal Kingdom Lodge:
    -deluxe hotel with prices between moderate and higher-end deluxe WDW resorts
    -queen beds
    -food court accessible via a covered walkway
    -pool area is very relaxing and romantic at night
    -safari atmosphere with deluxe amenities

    My first choice would be the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It truly transports you to another world. However, I just returned from my family's second stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort. CBR is a beautiful resort. I love the Jamaica section and walking to Caribbean Cay island on our way to Old Port Royale. The landscaping and music is fabulous.

    If your budget allows, go for AKL! I highly recommend breakfast at Boma's.
