My Fiance and I will be at Disney World in January for our honeymoon. We have 3 resorts in mind that we would like to stay at but need a nudge in the right direction, here are our picks Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Poly. Please Help!

    Hi Christina,

Welcome to the Moms Panel and congratulations on getting Married!  I will certainly give you a nudge, and help your narrow down your decision.  If you were visiting in a hot month, hands down I would suggest the Polynesian.  It is by far the most romantic resort in my opinion, and the open, outdoor environment is perfect for a romantic evening stroll by tiki-torch light.  Unfortunately January can get downright cold, so being in a Polynesia environment is a bit of a tease.

So since you are visiting during a cooler month, I would opt for the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Here's why:  Not only is the resort simply breathtaking, the main area is one large building with beautiful warm decor inside.  This is perfect for adult evenings, you can stroll through the lobby and enjoy the fire, or stop by the stunning Victoria Falls Lounge for a drink.  Dine at Jiko and you will not be disappointed, even if you are finicky eaters.  I was pleasantly surprised with this experience and it was one of the best meals I've ever eaten at Walt Disney World.  It may be a bit cool to swim at this time of year, but this resort offers two jacuzzis, unlike the Polynesian which doesn't have any.

Whichever resort you choose, you will be married and that will make the vacation practically perfect in every way!

    Have a great time!
