Hi there, Camille, and welcome to planDisney! Wow, what a great question! There are so many fun things for you and your fiancé to do while visiting the Disneyland Resort - so much so that I'd probably hit the character limit on a response if I wrote it all out. Let me instead give you some of my favorite ways for couples to enjoy the Disneyland Resort.
First, it's all about the ambiance. I absolutely love the
hotels of the Disneyland Resort mostly because they're beautiful, comfortable, and it keeps the Disney magic going even after you leave the parks. All three hotels are great, but if I had to pick one, I'd suggest the
Disneyland Hotel. There's not much that beats staying in the original hotel (this was one of the first hotels in the area back when Disneyland Park first opened!), plus I'm a big fan of heading to
Tangaroa Terrace for a drink after a long day in the parks!
Second, the attractions! Whether you're thrill-seekers or want something a bit more tame, the Disneyland Resort has so many different options when it comes to
attractions. I love riding all of the "Mountain" rides (Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain) in Disneyland Park, and of course, there is also the Incredicoaster and Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure Park. If you need something slower, then I would instead focus on Fantasyland where you can ride through all of your favorite classic Disney movies. For something in between, the new Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Rail and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance are great options!
Third, enjoy some nice meals together. Another thing I love about the Disneyland Resort is that you can eat in just about any part of the Disney fandom you'd like. Want to eat near your favorite Marvel superheroes? Try
Pym's Test Kitchen in Avenger's Campus. Want to eat in the middle of a jungle adventure? Try
Bengal Barbeque in Adventureland. How about in a galaxy far, far away? Grab a drink at
Oga's Cantina. However, my two favorite spots to enjoy a delicious and romantic meal as a couple would either be in
Lamplight Lounge or
Carthay Circle - both in Disney California Adventure Park.
Finally, take fun photos! I also highly recommend purchasing the Disney
Genie+ service because it not only gives you the ability to book return times for some of your favorite attractions through the quicker Lightning Lane entrances, but it also gives you unlimited Photopass downloads. There are Photopass photographers all around the parks who will be happy to take professional photos of you and your fiancé to commemorate your incredible trip. We like to make a point of stopping at as many of these as possible, so we have an album of high-quality photos by the end of our trip.
Whew, those were a lot of suggestions, and there are plenty more, but I'm almost out of space. I hope that was helpful, Camille! Thank you again for your question, and make sure to come back and see us here at planDisney if you think of any follow-ups you'd like to ask. We'd love to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
