My fiancé and I are thinking about getting married on WDW property in Feb 2017. We would like for it to be a small and intimate ceremony for 7 people. Can we have a private ceremony in our resort room and then go to the parks for a reception dinner?

Hi Paul! Disney weddings are indeed magical and special. My daughter was married in Walt Disney World and my husband and I had a beautiful vow renewal there a few years ago.

If you want to use the Disney wedding resources you can contact them and see the different options you will have. The Disney Fairy Tale Wedding coordinators are some of the best in making magic for your special day.

I have not heard of anyone having a wedding in a resort room as most wish to use a more romantic setting but if you have an officiant with you I suppose you can perform a ceremony in your room. You can make dining on your own at any Disney restaurant if you don't wish to use the Disney wedding group.

It is nice to let someone else take charge for your special day and do all the work while you just enjoy and capture the memories. Definitely consider the Disney wedding coordinators and talk to them about your options before making final decisions.
