Hello! My fiancé and I are taking the Merrytime Bahamian cruise for our honeymoon December 16-21 of 2024. We were wondering how we could find the themed night (besides Christmas) for this voyage if any? Or if there is a formal dinner night? Thank you!

    Hi Destinee,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for asking us a question about (squeeeee!) your honeymoon with Disney Cruise Line next December! I was able to do a Very Merrytime Cruise this year and it really was a fabulous way to get into the Holiday spirit. You’re going to have a truly memorable honeymoon, that’s for sure.

Based on your dates, I believe that you’ll be on a 5-Night sailing. If so, then, typically, you’ll have an “optional dress up” night on the second night of your sailing, with Pirate Night taking place either on the third or fourth night. Plus, because you’ll be on a Holiday-themed cruise, you’ll likely have a themed deck party taking place on another night. This information is always subject to change, so please consult your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App when you board; that’s the best way to know what activities are happening on a given day/night.

That said, I have lots of friends who get absolutely dressed to the nines for EVERY night of their cruise, and I even saw some Guests wearing holiday attire, from sparkly dresses to matching Christmas pyjamas, every night! The “dress up” nights are optional, so I encourage you to dress up as much (or as little) as you’d like. And, because it’s your honeymoon, don’t forget to purchase a Photography package for your cruise. After all, if you’re going to get dressed up or go with the Holiday theme, you’ll need to make sure you get plenty of pictures to remember this special moment in your lives.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if there’s any way we can help you make your honeymoon even more special!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
