my fiancé and i are planning a trip to disneyland and want to know the best way to experience the park, from the best way to ride the rides and which foods to try.i would love to know how to plan our day

Hello Isurangie, and welcome to planDisney! Golly, Disneyland is one of my favorite places. I'm delighted to share some tips and ideas for making your visit as magical as possible. Let's get into it!

First, let's talk about the tools that are available to you. The Disneyland website is a great place to discover the attractions and entertainment you're most excited about. The Disneyland mobile app will be really helpful on the day of your visit, since you can check wait times, mobile order food (which I highly recommend), and so much more. The app also has the complimentary Disney Genie service, where you can receive a personalized itinerary based on your top interests.

Next, Isurangie, let's talk about one way to maximize the magic of your trip. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass grants access to the Lightning Lane entrances at a number of attractions. These entrances lead to shorter lines, helping you fit more fun into your day. Some popular attractions are more likely to have later return windows than others as the day progresses. Because of that, I recommend using the pass for Indiana Jones Adventure and Space Mountain earlier in the day if possible. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass also includes unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass digital photos from your day. Photos that you take together, especially in front of iconic backdrops like Sleeping Beauty Castle, would make wonderful mementos.

Regarding timing, I love being in the park in the morning. Typically, the main entrance opens a little early and Guests can walk to the other side of Main Street, U.S.A. to gather behind a rope. When the park opens, Cast Members drop the rope to open the pathways to the various lands. The queues in the morning are typically shorter for many attractions compared to other times of day. That said, being there late at night is a different but equally fantastic experience. The nighttime spectaculars are iconic and worth staying up late for. So perhaps you can have an early morning, rest midday, and head back in the late afternoon.

As for which foods to try, that depends on your preferences! The Disney Parks Blog regularly shares Foodie Guides which might inspire your snack and meal times. My husband absolutely loves the Garlic Cheesy Pretzel Bread from Maurice's Treats, and Disneyland is known for their tasty churros and Mickey beignets. You can't go wrong with a Dole Whip, either. I enjoy the Corn Ribs Plate from Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and the Ronto-less Garden Wrap from Ronto Roasters, both of which are plant-based dishes. You can consider a dining package to pair a delicious meal with a premium viewing spot for select nighttime spectaculars or parades. Of course, Character dining is another fun choice for meal times.

Isurangie, I hope this information helps your Disneyland plans come together as perfectly as a fairy tale ending. If you have any questions before your trip, please let us know. We at planDisney are always happy to help!
