If you are sailing on the
Disney Wonder, then you will have the opportunity to purchase a
DisneyBand+ from Disney Cruise Line directly for each member of your sailing party to use onboard. However, DisneyBand+ has the same functionality as the MagicBand+ which is used at some other Disney destinations, including the
Walt Disney World Resort and the
Disneyland Resort. Disney Cruise Line offers exclusive cruise designs for DisneyBand+, which can usually only be purchased through your cruise reservation in advance of sailing or in the shops once you are onboard the ship. But if you are more interested in finding bands with your favorite character or movie, then I recommend looking at the 50+ different MagicBand+ designs that are currently for sale in the official
Disney Store online.
You can use your DisneyBand+ or MagicBand+ to board the Disney Wonder on embarkation day, to get on and off the ship at ports of call, to access your stateroom, and to charge onboard purchases to your stateroom folio. Although Disney Cruise Line does provide all guests with a Key to the World Card once onboard, wearing your band adds an extra level of convenience and features an added bit of pixie dust because the bands are designed to sync with certain entertainment offerings across the ship.
If you expect your marriage to include many more Disney vacations, then I definitely recommend purchasing bands for the two of you since they can be used across several different Disney destinations. They would also make memorable souvenirs from your honeymoon sailing.
