My fiancé and I are ending our honeymoon at Magic Kingdom and planning for Cinderella’s Royal Table. It’s showing unavailable for two, even when larger parties are open. Any advice for securing a table for two when our window opens?

    Howdy Makayla!

Welcome to planDisney. I love to hear that you will be spending part of your honeymoon at The Most Magical Place on Earth. There are many character dining experiences at the parks and resorts, but I think this one will be truly fitting for your new family. We had the opportunity to dine there on a previous trip, so let’s see if I can help you plan for an amazing experience.

Cinderella’s Royal Table is a super-popular dining experience and is certainly attainable for you. Here is more information on securing a reservation. Guests with a valid Disney Resort Hotel Reservation can make reservations for the entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. All other guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance. Advanced dining reservations can be made through the Walt Disney World website or through the My Disney Experience app starting around 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. I love to use the app because it is so simple. From the home screen, tap the plus button, then tap the first option, Check Dining Availability. Enter your party size, date, preferred time, and location (Magic Kingdom), and all of the available restaurants and times will pop up. Scroll down and choose Cinderella’s Royal Table and choose a time. In my experience, I would suggest waking up a little early, as I have seen some restaurants become available as early as 5:45 AM. If you will be visiting for multiple days, I would suggest starting with your preferred day and checking the others to see what is available. If, for some reason, you are unable to make a reservation, keep checking regularly. Guests change or cancel their reservations all of the time, and I’ve been able to get a reservation that was unavailable just by checking back in daily at various times. The other option is to visit the restaurant first thing in the morning on the day you visit the Magic Kingdom and see if they have any availability. You can also check the app to join the walk-up list as well.

Before we part, I would love to share a few ways to commemorate our newlywed status at the parks. The first thing is that you can visit guest services and ask for a Happily Ever After pin for free. This is a great way to let cast members help you celebrate. You never know when you might be pixie dusted, either. If you are into Minnie Ears, then I would suggest picking up the bride and groom's ears at any one of the many merchandise stores. We already picked some up for my niece, who is getting married soon.

Makayla, let me congratulate you again on your upcoming nuptials. I hope that you both have an absolutely magical time during your honeymoon visiting Walt Disney World.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
