My fiancé and I are coming down in July, we will be flying in and staying for 2 weeks. We have dinner reservations at a few other resorts and Downtown Disney. We want to know how late the buses run from one resort to the other or do we need to call a

    Hey Seth-

Two weeks! Talk about a dream come true. You and your fiancé are going to have a super romantically adventurous relaxing magically delicious time at Walt Disney World Resort. I am excited you made advance dining reservation thus allowing you to indulge in the fine cuisine we have come to embrace.

Buses run until 2:00 a.m. between resorts and the Downtown Disney Area. Taxi service is also available. Disney bus transportation does not travel from resort to resort. Typically you will need a transfer point when using the complimentary service. Transfer locations are the four theme parks and Downtown Disney Marketplace on the eastside of Downtown Disney Area. There is no bus service from Downtown Disney to theme parks. From Downtown Disney Area you will need to travel to a resort then take transportation to the theme park. So for example you have a reservation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and you are staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. You could take a bus to Downtown Disney Area or any theme park then hop on the bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. In this case I would travel to Disney's Hollywood Studios to transfer.

I would suggest chatting with the concierge at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to get the most direct route to and from your dining destination. I find transferring at a theme park is much more efficient than transferring at Downtown Disney Marketplace but this will depend on the time of day. Transferring adds time so pad your trip by an extra 60 minutes to get to your reservation on time. The fastest route by far is a taxi service and will cost about $10-$15 each way and can take 5-20 minutes.

    Bon appetite and safe travels.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
