My fiancé and I both have ADHD making it hard for us to wait in long lines. Would we qualify for DAS?

Hi there, Isabella, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm excited for you and your fiancé to be visiting the Disneyland Resort coming up very soon! It's Season of the Force all throughout the Resort, so I hope the both of you are Star Wars fans because you'll be fully immersed in the Universe!

Disney's Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed for Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue setting due to a disability. Each Guest is evaluated on a case by case basis and the determination of whether they qualify for DAS will be at the discretion of the interviewing Cast Member.  Since you have some time before your trip, my recommendation would be to pre-register for DAS via live video chat with a Cast Member. This may be done between 2 to 30 days in advance of your visit. You must already have your tickets and reservations for all party members and the Guest applying for DAS must be present for the call. Otherwise, you may both stop by Guest Relations on the day of your visit to register in-person.

Guests who qualify for DAS will be able to request a return time for attractions that are consistent with the current standby wait times, but, instead of waiting in the queue, they will be able to enjoy the Park's other amenities until their return time. If you don't end up using DAS, consider investing in Genie+, which would allow you to use Lightning Lane entrances at participating attractions, thus bypassing the majority of the standby queue. There are also Single Rider Lines for certain attractions as well, which are usually much faster than the posted standby times.

Isabella, I hope that this information was helpful in your trip preparation! I wish the both of you a truly magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth and please return anytime you have more questions. You're always welcome at planDisney!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
