My FI and I are going to the AS Sports resort in Sept. We can't decide if we should have reservations a head of time or chance waiting or try make reservations the morning of. We want to just go with it and not plan too much. Thoughts please?

Hi Jacey!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I can totally relate to how you are feeling.  I have a trip coming up in May that I have made no reservations for - sometimes it's just nice to "go with the flow", right?  I guess what you need to decide is, if there is a restaurant that you absolutely have your heart set on dining at, and if it was too full to accept a walk-up, would you be terribly disappointed?  Also, do you mind maybe waiting 20 minutes or a half hour for a table?  If those things won't bother you, than I say be spontaneous!  September is one of the better months for this strategy, I will admit.  Also, maybe just having one or two reservations for table-service might make it easier than planning each day out. This way, you can insure that your top must-eats will be covered, and the rest you can be more flexible about.

I highly recommend downloading the free app My Disney Experience.  You can then use this app on the day you know where you will be, to see which restaurants have availability, the times available and even make a dining reservation.  There's also a myriad of other great features to this app, such as attraction wait times, character locations/times, park maps, etc.

Good luck with your trip planning, and please let me know if I can help you with any other questions.  Have a magical day!
