A few years ago, we stayed at Saratoga Springs and when we got to the resort, they told us we could choose where our villa was. This year we are staying at Old Key West. Do they allow you to choose your room like this at Old Key West? Thanks!!

    Hi Jessica,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I have had the experience that you are describing at many Walt Disney World resorts, where the cast member at check in would let me know a few rooms that were available if I asked.  This of course depends on what rooms are ready for guests and which have already been assigned to other guests.  On my last visit to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, the cast member at check in was very helpful and looked up available cabins for me to choose from.  It definitely cannot hurt to ask if there are other rooms available if you would like when you check in.  If you have a specific request, it might be able to be accommodated later in the day if you are checking in early.

Don't forget that you can add requests for your room to your reservation.  If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can do this by calling Member Services at 1-800-800-9800.  You can also enter requests when you do online check-in.  Please remember that any request is only a request and cannot be guaranteed by Disney.

Have a great time on your trip, Jessica.  Disney's Old Key West is a wonderful resort!  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
