A few of us will be staying at the Old Key West Resort in May, 2012. Our children and grandchildren will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. Can they take the boat to our resort directly or do they have to go to Disney Village and catch a transfer?

    Hi there, Christopher,

Sounds like you are in for a fantastic Disney vacation filled with lots of special family time.  May is right around the corner and you'll be headed to sunny Florida before you know it!  I'm so jealous. :)

Now to answer your question:  There is no direct boat service between Port Orleans Riverside and Old Key West.  Your family will need to hop aboard the water launch to Downtown Disney, disembark, and then head over to the Pleasure Island Dock.  Here they will be able to board the Green Flag launch which provides direct service to Old Key West!

They can also take the Port Orleans water launch or bus to Downtown Disney and then travel to Old Key West by bus, which may be a little quicker!

Have fun with your family on your upcoming vacation, and be sure to write back if I can be of further assistance in the planning of this magical occasion!
