Hi, a few trips ago we bought two magic band pluses and linked them to our accounts And now when we’re trying to link them back up again now they say that they’ve already been claimed, but we’re doing it on the same account

    Hiya Kevin!

I'm sorry to hear you're having some technical difficulties, that's always frustrating! I'll do my best to help you find the right answer.

The Disneyland Mobile App typically remembers any Disney MagicBand+ that is linked to your account. The first thing I would check is if your bands are still listed in the app. You can figure that out by tapping the "☰" icon to open the menu and scrolling down to the "Account" section where you'll see "MagicBand+" listed. When you tap "MagicBand+" you should see a list of the bands connected to your device. Hopefully yours are there, and you can tap a band to assign it to a ticket!

Do you have more than one MyDisney account in your family? My husband and I each have our own accounts and I can't link my band to his device because it's already claimed by my account. Just something to double-check! It's also a good idea to check if the app needs to download an update.

If your band isn't linked to your account and you're still getting the error that it has already been claimed then it's time to chat with a Cast Member who specializes in technical issues. Luckily, that's very easy to do in the app. Head back to the main menu and scroll down to "Chat with Us" to get started. After you send your first message the app will ask a couple of questions. One of those questions will be if you need help with MagicBand+ so you'll want to answer yes! That will lead you to the right person to help you.

Finally, if the Cast Member you chat with can't resolve the issue you can always stop by Guest Relations when you're in the park. Not super convenient, I know, but they will do everything they can to get you on your way quickly.

Have you had the chance to celebrate friendship at Pixar Fest this summer? I loved tapping my toes at the Pixar Pals Playtime Party, it's worth visiting to just grab a seat in the shade (maybe with a snack) and watch the characters. Sadness dancing is basically my new favorite thing, and it's fun to see some characters that we don't normally get to visit in the parks!

I hope this information helps untangle your tech, Kevin! Enjoy the parks!

    Keep moving forward!
