    Hello! I have a few transportation questions. What are the best ways to get from BB to HS? Animal to Magic Kingdom? TL to Magic Kingdom? I've seen a lot of conflicting information. We are using the bus system and are not going to use taxis or rental cars.

    Hi there, Sara,

    Understanding the transportation system at Walt Disney World can be a confusing one, especially when there are several modes of transportation offered such as buses, boats and monorails. Sometimes, traveling from one location to another might require a transfer at either Downtown Disney or a theme park.

    I have found that even seasoned travelers to Walt Disney World, like myself, even need a refresher or guide as to the best route. I find the "transportation wizard" link on the website ourlaughingplace.com to be a very helpful tool. Simply go to this website and click on the link in the upper right hand corner. Enter your starting and ending destinations and then click "find route". This will then provide you one or more options and their estimated travel times. Keep in mind that this site is unofficial and routes and transportation can change without notice, but I have always found this site to be extremely helpful in finding the best ways to get around. Another thing to remember is that these times are travel times only and do not include the time spent waiting for transportation. Buses should run about every 20 minutes, so you'll want to allow enough time in your planning in case you just miss a bus or other mode of transportation. 

    You will most likely need to transfer at either Transportation and Ticket Center for a boat or monorail when traveling to Magic Kingdom from another park or the water parks. However, going from Blizzard Beach to Disney's Hollywood Studios should be fairly straight forward and quick as there should be a bus for Disney's Hollywood Studios directly from Blizzard Beach. When in doubt, be sure to check the transportation boards near the bus stops or ask a cast member.
