Hi a few quick ?'s we have adr for California Grill should we mention we are celebrating an anniversary also what would be considered appropriate dress I was thinking capris and dress shorts for dh but we will be coming from mk & will have sneakers on

    Hello Colleen,

The California Grill is such a nice spot for an anniversary meal and I would definitely mention to the restaurant cast members about "your special celebration", you never know what kind of surprises you may receive by letting everyone know it is your anniversary!  Celebrations are something Disney loves to acknowledge and there are many different surprises from "well wishes" to "complimentary celebration desserts", etc.... that may be experienced at WDW, just by wearing a button (which you can get at any guest services locations throughout the Parks, Downtown Disney and WDW Resorts) and/or mentioning it to everyone that you can when making reservations or even just showing up at the podium.

The California Grill is a signature restaurant and the dress code is business casual, which means that tank tops, swimsuits or swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, or torn clothing of any kind will not be permitted in the dining room.  Your plan of clothing should be just fine (even with sneakers) as Walt Disney World does realize that customers will be at the Parks all day and may not necessarily be able to make it back to the resort to change in time for their reservations, so as long as you are neat and tidy everything will be fine!  Have a magical anniversary at WDW and enjoy your meal at the California Grill restaurant "the top of the world".

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
