    I have a few questions regarding the Disney Princess Half Marathon. A group of us are trying to plan for 2013. Are park tickets necessary to participate in the race? Which resorts offer AM transportation to the race?

    Hi Elizabeth!  You will love the Princess half marathon.  It is a great race to do with a group of friends!  Park tickets are not necessary for the race.  You can get a discount on park tickets when you register for a race, but you don't have to have them.  Spectators can even go into the Magic Kingdom to watch the runners come through without having to purchase park tickets.
    The host resorts that provide transportation to and from race day events are different for each race.  I can give you a list of this year's host resorts for the 2012 Disney Princess Half Marathon, but keep in mind that they may be different next year.  Most of them will be the same, but possibly not all of them.  I do highly recommend staying at a host resort.  These are the resorts that are host resorts for 2012:

    • Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
    • Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter
    • Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
    • Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort 
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
    • Disney's Beach Club Resort
    • Disney's Boardwalk Resort
    • Disney's Polynesian Resort
    • Disney's Yacht Club Resort
