Hi, Gary, and thanks for trusting
planDisney with your question. We're so glad you’re here!
First, I’m so sorry for what you and your wife are going through right now. It sounds like you could both use some pixie dust in your lives, and I can’t think of a better place to experience that than at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
Unfortunately,
theme park tickets are nonrefundable. However, if you purchase tickets and are unable to attend on the day of your park reservation, not to worry! Tickets are usually valid for an entire year, so you can make a new park reservation for a day that may work better for your wife. If you’re unable to use the tickets before they expire, the price you paid can be applied to a future ticket purchase with an equal or higher price.
It sounds like your wife may benefit from
Disability Access Service, or DAS. It’s designed to assist Guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional standby queue. So, instead of waiting in a traditional standby line, your family would receive a return time for an attraction, which would allow her to sit in a comfortable spot to wait until it’s your family’s turn to ride the attraction. You can
pre-register online with
DAS Advance as early as 30 days before your visit, and no less than two days before. You can also register for DAS upon arrival in Disneyland Park (at City Hall) or Disney California Adventure Park (at Chamber of Commerce).
Another option that may help your wife is to
rent a wheelchair or Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV). These rentals can be found to the right of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, near the Stroller Building. They’re available on a first-come, first-served basis daily. If you’d prefer a length-of-stay rental, you can also rent from ScooterBug, which is a local Disney-approved private mobility rental company. For more information, please visit ScooterBug.com/Anaheim, or call (800) 726-8284.
Last but not least, I checked the
Park Hours, and currently, the calendar is updated through October 13, 2022. The calendar is typically updated about six weeks in advance, so I recommend checking back there around October 17 to discover the park hours for your November visit.
I sincerely hope this information helps you and your wife prepare for a comfortable, memorable visit, Gary! I’m sending you both my best wishes for good health and magical adventures to come!
Wishing you magic,
Kristin
