We had a few questions about the photopass service. Must we request special effects to the photograph or can those be added after? Do we need to book a place at the photopass studio?

    Rebonjour Marie-France,

It’s wonderful to see you again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

First, I’m happy to say that you don’t need to make a reservation at the Disney PhotoPass® Service Studio at Disney Springs. Simply stop by the studio during your visit and they’ll be able to take your photos, on a first-come-first served basis.

As for the “special effects”, if you’re referring to “Magic Shots” and other enhancements, those need to be added by the photographer when the picture is taken. Here’s my tip: When you’re getting your picture taken at a Disney PhotoPass location, ask the photographer whether they have any “Magic Shots” available. Most of them do, and they’ll be happy to accommodate you, if possible. One of my absolute favourites is found at Pandora: The World of Avatar, where a photographer can add a photo of a banshee in the skies above you! There's also a new Magic Shot at the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park that has Peter Pan flying overhead, too.

I hope my answer helps you plan your photo opportunities during your upcoming vacation. As always, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
