Hi Ranita, welcome to planDisney!
Thanks so much for bringing your questions to us, I'm happy to help!
When the
Disneyland Resort re-opened, a theme park reservation system was implemented, requiring Guests to have both a
theme park reservation and a valid
theme park ticket to enter the parks. Theme park reservations do not have an additional cost. Once you have purchased your theme park tickets, you are able to use those tickets to make your reservations. The
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar is a great tool that shows reservation availability.
If you are not able to make the date that you reserved, no problem at all! You cancel your current reservation through your Disneyland Resort account, and then proceed to book a new reservation. To cancel your current theme park reservation, you'll need to log in to your Disneyland Resort account, select the "My Disneyland" link, and then click the "Ticket and Reservation Details" link. Select the reservation you wish to cancel and click "Cancel Reservation". You'll then be able to select the party members who needs to cancel. Once canceled, you're free to go ahead and book your new reservation!
As you move forward to purchase your tickets, I also highly recommend you purchase the
Disney Genie+ service add-on. Genie+ gives you access to the
Lightning Lane entrances for certain attractions, allowing you to skip the standby lines! You also get unlimited
Disney PhotoPass Digital Downloads which is an amazing bonus.
I hope that helped to answer your questions!
See ya real soon!
