Hi Justin!
Welcome back to planDisney! You're getting closer and closer every day to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I can tell you are a planner (just like me!) and love to get all of your Donald Ducks in a row before heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
MagicBands offer an additional level of ease and convenience on your trip, as well as serve as a pretty cool accessory. I also have several MagicBands linked to my account and like to change them throughout my vacation depending on the park I'm visiting or my outfit of the day!
Justin, MagicBands are linked with your
My Disney Experience account. You can
view your current MagicBands and also
link any new additions by selecting "
My MagicBands and Cards." As long as the MagicBands you plan to use are listed as "Active," you should have
no problem switching between them on your trip. Your credit card information, resort room, and tickets are also all linked to your account which means they can be accessed by any active MagicBand. If you have any older MagicBands still on your account (I still have some original ones!), you may find that they also still work at touchpoints in the park and resort, but will not work with some of the new technology like "automagically" linking your ride photos to your account. If you have a newer MagicBand+ (or several!) in your collection, don't forget to pack your
charger so that you're ready for each day of vacation!
Did you know you can also skip the front desk upon your arrival at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel with Disney's
Direct-To-Room Service? Either through the
website or the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can complete online check-in up to 60 days before your resort arrival. During online check-in, you will
confirm some basic information like you would at the front desk and can even make room requests. Then, on your arrival day, you'll receive a notification when your room is ready and can proceed right to your room. Your active MagicBands should work to unlock the door or you can use the unlock door feature in your app. Whether you choose to start your vacation by visiting your resort pool or going straight to the theme parks, it's a great way to save time and get to the magic faster!
Justin, I hope this information helps you prepare for a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort next month! Remember that you've got a friend in me here at planDisney and we hope to see you again if you have any other vacation planning questions in the future!
Cheers,
Kristi
