Only a few more days till we arrive! Can anyone tell me how wet you usually get on Splash Mtn and Kali River Rapids? Kids want to ride but adults don't. I might be willing if I wouldn't get too wet. Thanks so much!

    Hi Julie, One word: Poncho!

Seriously, if you don't want to get wet, but want to share in the laughter and memories...bring a rain poncho for those two rides. I personally love both of those attractions, and don't miss the chance to ride them with my children (some of the best giggles have been heard on them). However, I enjoy them much more in August then in December. There are 2 seats on Kali River Rapids that get soaked every time. We call them the "dump seats" (think the equivalent of buckets of water being dumped on you). You never know which 2 it will be, but somehow on our last trip it ended up being me each time! I was soaked to the bone, and my kids were mad that it wasn't them that got nailed. There is a sign that says, "You will get wet, you may get soaked"...believe it.

Splash Mountain is also hit or miss. There have been times that I've walked off of it essentially dry, and others that I was soaked through every layer. It depends on what part of the log you are sitting in, and where your log is at the precise moment that another log is coming down the big hill. Sometimes a big splash comes off and nails you, other times you don't get hardly a drop on you.

My in-laws brought their rain jackets / ponchos out before we got onto Kali River Rapids in October. My kids and I were laughing at them for being "wimps". When the ride was over, they were the smart ones and I was the one wishing I'd brought a poncho. As much as I love Kali River Rapids, I can't imagine riding it in December without a rain jacket in December...brr.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful vacation with your family,
