Hello, Madalyn,
I’m sorry to hear you have had difficulty booking a
theme park reservation. I’d be happy to share information about using Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets and booking park reservations.
Theme park reservations may be made up to 120 days in advance. The
theme park reservation availability calendar may be used to verify which days still have reservations remaining. Note that availability can change. Dates that don’t currently have reservations available may open up from time to time when other Guests’ plans change and they need to cancel their reservations.
Most theme park tickets are valid until the expiration date indicated at the time of purchase. Theme park reservations may be booked for a one-day ticket until that expiration date or until the ticket is used. For one-day tickets, it’s also important to pay attention to the
valid tier dates for the ticket purchased. Most multi-day tickets are valid to make theme park reservations and use the number of days of the ticket
until the expiration date or until 13 days after the first day of use, whichever comes first. Some multi-day theme park tickets have some more flexibility beyond that two-week rule. For example, the 2022
Southern California Residents 3-Day, Weekday Ticket could be used any three days between the date of purchase and the ticket expiration on May 26, 2022.
Partially-used multi-day tickets may not have their expiration dates extended unless they are
upgraded to a Disneyland Resort
Magic Key on or before the last valid date. In most cases, a wholly unused ticket that is not used before its expiration date retains its value. The original amount paid for a wholly unused ticket may be applied toward the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value. To upgrade a theme park ticket to another ticket type other than a Magic Key pass, Guests may visit a main entrance ticket booth. If a ticket was purchased directly from Disney, Guests with a purchase confirmation number may also contact the
Tickets phone line or use the chat feature in the
Disneyland mobile app.
I hope that helps explain the park reservation and ticket expiration situation at the Disneyland Resort. If you have any more questions, we’d be happy to hear from you again here at planDisney.
Have a magical day, Madalyn!
