Hi Jessica,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to hEAR that you are about to make
advanced dining reservations!
As long as you are online, ready to make reservations by 5:45 a.m. on day 60 prior to your arrival, there should be some dining availability. If you do not yet have a dining reservation strategy, I would suggest that you identify the most popular restaurants you want to visit and make those dining reservations first. In my experience, more popular restaurants are easier to book for the latter days of our trips. If, for example, you arrive on a Monday and leave on a Saturday, it might be easier to make a reservation at
Be Our Guest Restaurant for Friday.
Once you book the more popular restaurants first, then book everything else. I also suggest that, if you do not see availability at first, go back and try again after making other reservations. And, if you do not see availability at certain restaurants, make reservations at other dining locations. You can always keep checking the reservation system for additional availability and then modify or cancel reservations as needed.
Think carefully about your other plans as you make those reservations. If we plan to go see the
Happily Ever After fireworks, for instance, we will make a dinner reservation no later than 6:00 p.m. so that we can be out by 7:30 p.m. and claiming a viewing spot for the fireworks show if the show is at 9:15 p.m. As it gets closer to the start of the show, it will get harder and harder to find a viewing spot.
We also plan our dining with geography in mind. So, we prefer to eat dinner at a dining location near the park entrance or back at our resort hotel. With this strategy, we just head back to the resort or the room right after dinner and avoid having to trek across a park one more time.
Jessica, I am sending some pixie dust hoping you were able to get all of those dining reservations. If you need to keep looking, stay hopeful! Cancelations do happen! So, keep checking for availability. And, be sure to have
Disney Park Pass system reservations!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
