Hiya, Yana! Welcome to planDisney. As a mom of two sweet daughters, I was excited to read your question, as mom-daughter trips to Disneyland Resort are very special to me! In fact, we just booked a mom-daughter trip during spring break in a few weeks!
Yana, theme park reservations are required for entry, hence I strongly recommend looking in advance of your arrival for availability. I just checked the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar and within the next week, currently I see availability only on February 23. I will say that availability can change very quickly as Guests change plans so even if your desired date is not available, it’s worth it to keep checking. Or, if February 23 works for you, you may want to snag those dates now! You can
purchase tickets and make reservations in one go.
If you make it to the parks, which I really hope you do, can I suggest a few ideas to make your mom-daughter trip even more magical?
You can pick up complimentary buttons at any Disney gift shop, available for multiple occasions; there is a “1st Visit” button, a “Happy Birthday” button and an “I’m Celebrating” button to name a few. These are a fun way to commemorate your trip and they look festive in photos.
You could consider getting matching Ear Headbands for the group, which make for super fun photos throughout the parks. The World of Disney shop in the Downtown Disney District has a huge selection.
Also, you can add
Disney Genie+ to your day with new tickets or add it once you’ve entered the parks. Adding this service gives you access to
19 Lightning Lanes across the two parks, which are far shorter than standby queues and hence you’ll save lots of time waiting in line. Genie made our wishes come true! Another perk of Disney Genie+ is you get complimentary access to
Disney PhotoPass for the day, meaning unlimited, high resolution, digital downloads of the photos taken at attractions and by
Disney PhotoPass Photographers. Just two weeks ago, I took a very special trip to
Disney California Adventure Park with my dear mom, and we giggled through our “photo shoot” as we hopped around multiple PhotoPass locations throughout the park. I have dozens of fun, sweet, precious photos with my mom from that day that I will treasure forever. Be sure to ask the photographers about doing a Magic Shot – they can add a special effect or character to your photo!
Yana, I’m sending you a pinch of pixie dust for this mom-daughter trip to work out next week!
