    will the festival of the lion king show be open during june 2021?

    Get ready to clap your paws, stomp your hooves and ruffle your feathers - Festival of the Lion King will soon be returning to Harambe Theater at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! 

    As a big fan of all the live entertainment options at Walt Disney World Resort, I'm SO happy to hear that they are doing all they can to safely bring back live shows. Not only will they have safety plans in place for Guests in the audience, but also for the amazing cast members who put on the shows. I've missed visiting the Pride Lands and singing along with all the classic songs from The Lion King, including "Circle of Life" and "I Just Can't Wait to Be King". 

    While there is yet to be an announcement about a confirmed opening date, I recommend you stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information. I hope that the reopening of Festival of the Lion King will soon be followed by many other entertainment offerings we've missed during this time. (My personal favorite is Finding Nemo - The Musical!)

    Here's hoping that you'll be able to enjoy the immersive experience of Festival of the Lion King during your summer visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
