Hi Madeleine!
It sounds like you’re planning an awesome day at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom! That park is such a gem with so much to see and do. Let me share some must-do attractions and dining spots to make your day even better.
First off, you’ve got to try
Avatar Flight of Passage. It feels like you're really flying on the back of a banshee through Pandora. It's incredible. If you love animals, Kilimanjaro Safaris is like going on a real African safari. You may see elephants, lions, giraffes, and more up close.
My family loves to dine at
Satu'li Canteen! Their customizable bowls and cheeseburger pods are a hit. If you’re in the mood for some BBQ, Flame Tree Barbecue is amazing. And for a special meal, Tiffins Restaurant offers incredible dishes inspired by Africa, Asia, and South America.
Now onto your question. You said that
Festival of the Lion King shows “Closed” at the end of September and start of October on Disney Genie. Right now, it looks like they’ve only posted hours through mid-August. Since it’s a live show, they usually release operating hours they tend to release operating hours a little at a time. There haven’t been any announcements about it closing for refurbishments, so keep an eye out for updates as your trip gets closer.
I love that you’re using Disney Genie for planning! It’s such a handy tool. Don’t forget to look into
Disney Genie+ too, which helps you reserve access to multiple attractions. And for some rides, there are Virtual Queues, so make sure to check how to join those to save time.
I hope you have a magical day at Animal Kingdom! Enjoy every moment and make some amazing memories!
