Will the Ferrytale Fireworks Cruise be running through Dec 2023? Do you need pass for park to board?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Laura! I'm so happy to chat with you about one of my favorite parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation: the fireworks!

There is nothing quite like hearing the sounds of Happily Ever After and seeing the bursts of light over Cinderella Castle to make my eyes go a bit misty. And... my kids still talk about enjoying the EPCOT fireworks from our vantage point on the water, so I appreciate this question.

First, I will share that typically availability starts to show up on the website about 60 days in advance, so for dates in December, keep checking! When I am booking something from the Enchanting Extras collection or advanced dining reservations, I set an alarm on my phone so that I know exactly 60 days before my check-in date that I should be searching for reservations. Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise can be booked online and I recommend clicking through the steps to book an earlier date just so you are familiar with the process.

Now, Laura,  on to the second part of your question. This experience does NOT require a theme park ticket. While you will be enjoying the fireworks over Magic Kingdom Park, you will not actually be inside the park, but on the water which makes this the perfect activity to close out a rest day or sprinkle some pixie dust over your arrival day. When my family visits, we like to build in one or two slower days during our time to rest in between lots of walking around the theme park. Selections from the Enchanting Extras collection are great activities to spend on those relaxing days!

Finally, Laura the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise leaves from the Transportation and Ticket Center, so if you book this experience, make sure you think about how to get to your cruise. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel not connected to the monorail loop, you can make your way to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park and then use monorail transportation to the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can also drive or use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft.

Laura, I hope this helps as you're thinking ahead to your December visit. I would be more than happy to help with any additional questions, so please feel free to come on back to planDisney.

Wishing you a Magical holiday season and an unforgettable vacation,
