Hello, fellow Pennsylvanian! You know that Pennsylvania can get a little chilly in the spring. How is the weather in April? We are leaving in 2 weeks and don't know how to pack for April.

Hello to you too. I’m anxiously (and impatiently) waiting for warm weather here in PA!

The weather should be delightful in Orlando. Last night I was chatting with friends that had just returned and they said they couldn’t believe how nice it was in March. So April should be wonderful.

Looking at average temperatures and last year’s statistics, you will likely have days in the mid 80s with nights in the upper 50s to low 60s. There is usually very little rainfall unlike the April Showers that help to green up the grass in PA.

So be sure to plan for lightweight jackets for early mornings and evenings. It looks like shorts will be fine for day time once the sun warms things up. Sometimes we start off in pants and have to switch to shorts. I usually pack too much. Prior to our departure, I try to take out some items that I know I won’t need once I’ve seen the most recent Orlando forecast. I like accuweather.com for the 15 day forecasts as I like to begin packing early. I then check every day for an update.

I hope you have a fabulous trip. Enjoy the warmth and the sunshine. I’ll be in WDW for a quick trip mid-April and can’t wait to escape hibernation. Save some of those sunny rays for me!
