Hello Fellow Georgian! Have you ever driven to WDW? Do you have to pay to park at the Polynesian? We are thinking of saving some money on flights considering that the whole flying process takes about as long as it does to drive.

    Hi Hilary!

Always love hearing from a fellow Georgia Peach!

I always drive to Disney World unless I'm traveling solo for something special like a girls' weekend or a runDisney event.  If I'm traveling with my family, we load up my minnie van and head on down.  Its a lot cheaper for my family of 4 to drive from Georgia than it is to fly.  Flying doesn't save us tons of time either and I love having my van to drive around on property.  I am not a light packer so its a bonus for me to be able to take anything and everything I think I can't live without.

Self-parking is free at all of the resorts.  You can take advantage of the Valet Service at the Deluxe Resorts but you'll have to pay a fee for that.  Even if you're staying at another resort (on or off property) and visiting the Polynesian Resort for any reason such as dinner at 'Ohana, self parking is free.  You'll just need to show a picture ID to the Security Guard when you enter the resort.

If you are staying at a resort, you'll receive a Parking Permit for your car upon check-in and will be able to access the resort parking area with your Key To The World Card after that.  Also keep in mind that if you are a guest at any of the Disney Resorts, you get complimentary parking at all of the Disney theme parks.  You'll just need to show them your Parking Permit when you enter the Parking Plaza.

Please feel free to visit with any other questions.  Its my pleasure to assist you!  Wishing you minnie magical memories :-)  Allison
