Hi fellow georgia mom. I was wondering if you request a ground floor room at a value resort is that considered to be a preferred room therefore having to pay the preferred charge? My mom is disabled. thanks for all the info.

Hi Elizabeth and fellow GA mom!  Thanks so much for the question.  I wanted to double check my answer with reservations and make sure I gave you the correct information.  Requesting a ground floor room is not the same as asking for a preferred room, therefore you will not be charged any additional rate.  If you requested a preferred view that costs extra, but simply asking to be on the ground floor will not add any additional charge.
I hope you and your family have a magical vacation at WDW, and please feel free to come back with any other questions you might have before your trip.
