Hi Christina,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let the happy dancing begin. It is almost time for your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Since it could take several hours for your bags to get delivered to your resort hotel room, here are my packing tips for your carry-on luggage:
- MagicBands or admission cards
- Medications
- Sunscreen
- Infant essentials - i.e. diapers
- Comfortable shoes
- Rain ponchos
- Lightweight jackets (depending on the weather)
- Swimsuits, swim suit covers and flip flops (if you plan to head to the pool after the parks)
- Change of clothes for dinner (if you have a royal dinner planned for that first evening, keep the princess or knight attire in your carry-on luggage)
Florida weather can be unpredictable. I always keep rain ponchos with me, no matter what the weather forecast says. You may also find this Disney Parks Blog post helpful -

I also hope you have made your
Fast Pass+ selections and
advanced dining reservations - these will save you valuable time in line.
Christina, I am sending extra pixie dust your way for this first visit! I still remember our first visit with our girls. One of them was barely 40 inches tall so a cast member checked her height as we were walking to get on Soarin'. When he gave her the thumbs up to indicate she was tall enough to ride, she jumped up in the air - priceless.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
