Dear Terri, thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! I’m so sorry to hear about your fall. I am glad you’re ok and still able to visit the Happiest Place on Earth as planned.
You can apply for
Disability Access Service (DAS) using
DAS Advance 2-30 days prior to your arrival date. You can
request a video chat to start the process. If deemed eligible for DAS, they will help you get registered and even select two return times in advance per day of your visit.
I have heard from friends recently that they are experiencing longer than usual wait times for the video chat, so no worries if you can’t get registered before you arrive. Once you arrive, you can visit City Hall at Disneyland Park or Chamber of Commerce at Disney California Adventure Park, and the Guest Relations team will help you get registered.
Some Guests don’t realize you can use DAS coupled with
Disney Genie+, which gives you access to the faster queues called
Lightning Lanes. I have a friend who used DAS and Genie+ and was able to accomplish quite a lot in one day!
I recommend looking at the
entertainment schedule as a means of resting during the day between attractions.
The Dapper Dans and
Five & Dime are two of my favorite entertainment features - I like to find a park bench to sit down with a tasty Disney snack, relax, and enjoy the music!
Also, since you’re looking to reduce time spent waiting in lines, try
mobile ordering meals and snacks from the
Disneyland mobile app. I use mobile ordering multiple times a day with my family, sometimes to pick up a small snack like a batch of fresh
Mickey-shaped Beignets at Mint Julep Bar, or perhaps a full meal at one of many quick service restaurants. In the app, go to “Mobile Food Orders” and click “Create New Order.” You can select the next available pick-up window or click “More Times” throughout the day. You can also view the menu right there while ordering! Can you tell I’m a huge fan of mobile ordering?!
Guess what, the latest episode of the planDisney Podcast just dropped today, and it's all about Disneyland Resort! You can listen to the planDisney Podcast on
Apple Podcasts,
Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Terri, I am wishing you a most magical visit at
Disneyland Resort. Come back and see us if you have more questions. You’ve got a friend in me!
