I have a feet question :D What are the best shoes to wear? I am worried about wet rides and tennis shoes getting wet so I would like other alternatives to wear that would be fine for all day wear. Thanks :)

    Hi Mary,

You ask a great question!  Nothing spoils a vacation faster than blisters or sore feet. Wet tennis shoes are no fun either.  Selecting comfortable footwear should be at the top of every vacation-goer's "to-do list."

When it comes to riding attractions that may yield wet feet, you have two possible options:

    1.  Wear your tennis shoes and socks all day to keep your feet happy but keep a pair of flip-flops or some other light, water-resistant shoes in your purse or backpack to use on wet rides like Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids. Then, when the ride is over, you can put those comfy sneakers back on.

    2.  Wear comfortable waterproof shoes all day.  I'm not talking about shoes with no support.  I'm talking about shoes that were designed for plenty of walking.  I have some Teva sandals and my son has some Keen sandals that protect our toes and provide adequate arch support so that our feet don't ache at the end of a busy day.  These are 100% waterproof too.  You might want to look into getting a pair of these shoes before your next trip.  If you do, just remember to break them in before the vacation.  Never take brand new shoes on vacation.  Wear them for a few weeks before you go to avoid the emergence of blisters while on vacation.

    Have fun shoe-shopping, Mary!
