As the dad of three sons who have "grown up Disney" and as a bit of a "big kid" myself, I can assure you that there is a world of things for boys to enjoy throughout the Walt Disney World Resort! My boys are currently 15, 15, and 11! We have been taking them to the Walt Disney World Resort since the oldest were two years old! They still get excited for every visit!
Let's begin our tour at Disney's Hollywood Studios which is the favorite park of my sons! The big draw here is
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge where an entire land themed around the world of Star Wars is brought to life. Storm Troopers roam the streets as members of the Resistance plot their next move to defeat the First Order! Here your son can jump into the cockpit to take the control of the Millennium Falcon! He can also join the Resistance by experiencing an 18-minute long Star Wars adventure in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! Also, while not specifically located in Galaxy's Edge, be sure to visit Star Tours - The Adventure Continues! Your son might also enjoy joining the Jedi at
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. Here he will be trained in the way of the Jedi before coming face-to-face with a Star Wars villain in an epic lightsaber duel! Please check for updated availability for this experience as you get closer to your visit. Disney's Hollywood Studios also has
Toy Story Land with the Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania! My sons also enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and the Tower of Terror! Also, I have to mention that the newest ride at this park is Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway which I happen to adore as a big kid! The Tornado scene is my favorite!
In the past few years my sons have taken a huge interest in Disney' Animal Kingdom! They absolutely love riding
Avatar Flight of Passage! As soon as the park opens they get to this ride as quickly as their feet will take them! They also won't leave this park without riding Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Kali River Rapids!
Let's now make our way to Magic Kingdom Park! My sons have several "must do" attractions including: Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and Space Mountain!
Kristin, all three of my sons have also taken a huge interest in collecting Disney pins that are available throughout all of the parks as well as the Disney Resort Hotels. The pins help them commemorate some of their favorite experiences from that particular visit! They also love visiting the two
Disney Water Parks and spending a day at our Disney Hotel Resort pool!
